Lynda Ellis

CEO

Lynda’s passion: Doing the right thing.

Lynda is the award-winning CEO of Capitol Concierge. Under her leadership, the Capitol Concierge brand has become synonymous with best-in-class service and top-notch professionalism. As an entrepreneur, she has a track record of growing and taking companies to the next level by integrating technology to enhance the individual service experience.

A St. Mary’s University graduate in San Antonio, Texas, she spent more than 25 years in instructional technology, selling and marketing computer-based education and training products and earning numerous awards for her performance and leadership. 1998 Lynda joined Capitol Concierge and purchased the company in 2007. Since then, she has guided the enterprise with her passion for service and trademark enthusiasm.

Lynda serves as the Board Chair on St. Mary’s University—San Antonio’s Board of Trustees and Chair of the National Crime Prevention Council Board. She is also a member of the American Red Cross, National Capital, and Greater Chesapeake Region Tiffany Circle Leadership; a member of the National Small Business Association Leadership Council; and a member of the Board of Directors and Legislative Committee of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.

Lynda’s recent accomplishments include receiving the Apartment and Office Building Association’s inaugural David H. Hillman Maverick Award, being named to The Daily Record’s 2020 Most Admired CEOs and 2018 Maryland’s Top 100 Women lists, and receiving the 2017 Moxie Award for boldness in business. Under Lynda’s leadership, Capitol was the recipient of a 2023 National Association of Business Owners & Entrepreneurs (NABOE) Award and a 2023 Baltimore Business Journal Family-Owned Business Award honoree. As an industry thought leader, Lynda has shared her expertise in numerous publications and is a sought-after speaker on the service industry and leadership topics.

Misty Tieman

President 

Misty’s passion: Operational excellence and building and maintaining client relationships.

As President, Misty oversees the company’s strategic direction, working closely with the executive team to drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. Her extensive marketing, sales, and recruitment expertise and in-depth industry knowledge contributes to Capitol’s continued success in delivering high-quality service to its valued customers.

Misty joined Capitol in 2012 and, since 2019, served as Executive Vice President, Operations. She consistently demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering dedication to achieving Capitol’s goals. In addition to managing strategic operations and identifying key strategies to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve employee satisfaction, Misty is also highly proficient in problem-solving.

Before joining Capitol, she spent six years as Director of Federal Business Development and Recruiting for Focus Technology Consulting. She developed a knack for spotting talent in this fast-paced, deadline-driven IT service management area. Misty also spent several years in the retail management sector, which is a strength that benefits Capitol in its expansion efforts.

Misty is passionate about giving back to the local community and serves on the Western Howard County Warhawks Youth Football and Cheer (WHC Warhawks) Board and the American Red Cross Board for the National Capital and Chesapeake Region.
