Capitol Concierge, Inc. Honors Gerard Lehman with Coveted Evelyn Marello Service Award
WASHINGTON, DC, August 17, 2009—Capitol Concierge, Inc., the nation’s largest concierge service provider, announced today that it is proud to honor Gerard Lehman with the coveted Evelyn Marello SERVICE Award, an annual award that celebrates excellence in SERVICE, presented to one stellar employee whose exemplary efforts set an example for other employees to follow.
Gerard Lehman has been a dedicated member of the Capitol Concierge team since 2005 when he joined the company as Assistant Manager, bringing with him extensive customer service experience. His dedication to top quality performance resulted in his promotion within two months to Concierge Manager.
“Gerard really understands and embraces Capitol Concierge’s standards of excellence and client satisfaction,” said Capitol Concierge President and CEO Lynda Ellis. “He sets an example for his team with his quiet diligence and by constantly exceeding clients’ expectations. Gerard consistently takes pride in his work and exemplifies all that is Capitol Concierge.”
Capitol Concierge began recognizing one employee with the Evelyn Marello SERVICE Award last year in remembrance and recognition of the late Evelyn Marello, an integral member of the Capitol Concierge team who demonstrated what it means to provide the best in customer service, interacting with clients and performing duties with unparalleled dedication to excellence.
Evelyn dedicated her career and much of her life to serving others. She was recognized with numerous awards from the hospitality industry, and worked for such well known companies as Hyatt Hotels and Resorts and Loews Hotels and Resorts. Evelyn began working at Capitol Concierge as a concierge in 1997. Within the first year, she was promoted to Director of Corporate Services; then a few years later, was promoted again to Director of Business Development. She positively impacted all whom she met, and set a new standard in what it means to provide best-in-class customer service. Evelyn passed away in 2004, but is remembered and missed dearly by all who knew her.
Capitol Concierge now seeks an individual each year who replicates this highest level of service set by Evelyn. The award’s extensive criteria requires the recipient to always provide this service level in a variety of ways, measured objectively and subjectively, which has been noticed and well-received by clients, peers, Capitol Concierge leadership and others.
