Capitol Concierge Named a 2013 Washington SmartCEO Future 50 Winner

WASHINGTON, DC, November 14, 2012 – Capitol Concierge, the nation’s largest provider of concierge services, is a 2013 SmartCEO Future 50 Award Winner. The Future 50 Awards recognize the area’s fastest growing companies based on employee and revenue growth over the past three years.

“We are thrilled to be recognized for our continued growth during the worst recession since the Great Depression,” said Lynda Ellis, President & CEO of Capitol Concierge. “We’ve accomplished this while keeping our focus solidly on our core mission, which is SERVICE, by seeking out and hiring employees who are dynamic, with stronger, multiple and varied skills. This award salutes and belongs to the entire Capitol Concierge team.”

Operating Income at Capitol Concierge is up for the fifth year in a row, and dramatically so over last year. During the first half of 2012, sales increased 13% over the comparable prior year period. 2012 second quarter revenue was 23% higher than the first quarter — and 21% higher than in 2011.

“We’ve made strategic upgrades throughout the company, placing new and deeper emphasis on ethics, integrity and philanthropy as core company values,” added Ellis. “As a result, we were also proud to recently win the prestigious 2012 Washington Capital Business Ethics Award.”

“The companies we are honoring this year are growing in spite of the economic hardships we have all been facing,” said Jaime Nespor, group publisher of SmartCEO magazine. “These companies are investing in themselves, investing in their people and rising above the rest. They deserve to be recognized and celebrated because they are moving our economy and this region forward.”

The 2013 Future 50 winners collectively generate $4.3 billion in annual revenue and employ over 21,000 individuals in greater Washington. This impressive group will be recognized in the January issue of SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on January 31, 2013.
